Usage Guide
- Select Calculation Mode:
- “Calculate Pace from Time”: Choose this when you know your target finish time (hours, minutes, seconds) and want to know the pace needed to achieve it.
- “Calculate Time from Pace”: Choose this when you want to know the predicted finish time when running at a specific pace (minutes, seconds per km or mile).
- Set Total Distance:
- Enter the total distance you want to run directly, or click one of the “Common Distances” buttons (5K, 10K, Half, Full) to select it.
- Choose the distance unit from “km” or “miles”.
- Enter Target Time or Pace:
- If you selected “Calculate Pace from Time” in step 1, enter your target finish time in hours, minutes, and seconds.
- If you selected “Calculate Time from Pace” in step 1, enter your target pace in minutes and seconds. (The pace unit will follow the distance unit selected in step 2.)
- Click “Calculate” Button: After entering all information, click the “Calculate” button and results will be displayed immediately at the bottom.
- Review Results:
- Total Goal Time: Predicted finish time when running at the entered pace (when calculating time from pace).
- Required Pace: Average pace that must be maintained to achieve the entered target time (when calculating pace from time).
- Split Time Predictions: Provides predicted passing times for each split and average pace for that section in table format, according to the set distance unit (km or mile).
- Click “Reset” Button: Use this to clear all input values and results when you want to start over with a new calculation.
